NCSU holds meeting; adopts 7-point resolution

DIMAPUR

Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) on Thursday reaffirmed its stand on mandatory open tender system and awarding of contractual works only to NCSU identity card holders as per government standing order. In a press release, NCSU media cell informed that the reaffirmation was made during its annual general meeting in the conference hall of the NCSU, Kohima. The union resolved to celebrate its golden jubilee of and to construct NCSU head office building while also deciding to review the constitution.
It resolved to pursue pending liabilities from state government departments and to write representation to the state government with regard to various taxes.
The house also decided to ask the state government to come out with a yearly works programme. Later, NCSU nominated its new team of office bearers for a term of five years with incumbent officials Pele Khezhie and John Kath to continue as president and general secretary along with N. Neilo Koza, Hoshito Assumi and K. L. Setuo Rutsaas vice presidents and others.
The nomination committee was headed by T. Yanger Imchen as convener and S. K. Rangma, H. Muzung Yimchunger, Kuzhasheyi Alex & Hotoshe Sumi as members.
